1949 Mercury Sedan 4 Door

This sedan is in original condition and unmolested. It is not running, seized flat head eight. Rad and hood ornament missing. Some rust on the quarter panels ahead of the rear wheels and rockers panels. The interior is complete but needs to be redone. However with all this said, this car is very solid and restorable. The floor boards and pillars are still very solid. The hood, trunk lid, and front fenders are virtually rust free other than on the surface. The doors on the inner lower shells are surprisingly rust free. The outer skins are very good only showing a couple of small bubbling areas that would be easily repaired.

There are no major dents dents in this car and every body panel is restorable except for the rockers. The larger dents are located in the right front fender, left front fender, left front door and the left quarter panel. This can all be repaired with little difficulty. As far as the brightwork goes, the bumpers will need rechroming and the side spear is missing from the right front door. The window mouldings and belt line moulding appear to be in very good condition. The right retainer ring is gone, but the rest of the headlight parts are present. All of the "MERCURY" Lettering is on the hood and the grille is extremely nice in need or very little repair. This car comes with bonus skirts and fulton visor which is complete and in nice condition. For more information on this car info@rodsrelics.ca
